Are you an eagle?

Turkey Point I'd been up late helping Fin as best I could, as zie was working on Rio's costume for the parade today, so we were both sleepy. I slept through the alarm, or maybe I didn't set it properly, for the first time in weeks. Sharon also had a similar problem, for the first time ever that I remember, and we ended up going in together on a later train.

The most interesting thing today was the parade. We came home a bit early for it, and got Rio ready. She sat in her grand blue costume, in the top of a papasan chair, which we'd covered with branches to look like a nest, lashed to a cart that we pulled along. (See what it looked like on Fin's post.) In the end, Rio won third prize; first prize went a kid who had dressed up as a mouse in dark glasses, with two toy mice on zir shoulders, and zir mother dressed as a farmer's wife, and second prize went to someone who put her chihuahua in a pushchair and wore a brown jumpsuit.

I started work on the train on replacing the callback that wakes FUSA up every five seconds. I think this will make laptop owners much happier. I was about to ask whether anyone could recommend a tutorial on getting useful results out of massif, but then I found this one.

Fin has been making artdolls again. Zie's started sewing even the basic figures zirself (zie used to buy blanks and then turn them into things). Have a look at the new ones; a lot of previous ones are still on zir website.

Here are some photos from the trip to see Amy and John, if you like pictures of woods and lighthouses.
